Heart of the Foothills Sponsorship Program

Animal sponsors play a critical role at Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue (HFAR). Many of our animals have special needs that require additional veterinary care and rehabilitation that exceed the amount of their adoption fees. The sponsorship program assists in offsetting these expenses and ensures that HFAR can continue to save more animals going forward. The program allows supporters to make a tax-deductible donation on a monthly basis to support one of the animals at the shelter by contributing to the cost of food, shelter, and veterinary care for animals rescued from situations of abuse, neglect and abandonment.

There are three levels of sponsorship:

  • Bronze - $15/monthly

  • Silver - $25/monthly

  • Gold - $50/monthly

Any animal available for adoption is also available for sponsorship. The sponsor chooses the animal he/she wishes to sponsor. If the sponsor has no preference, HFAR will choose the animal.

Every sponsor will receive:

  • A personalized framed sponsorship certificate

  • A framed photo of the sponsored animal

  • A fact sheet about the sponsored animal

With a silver you will also receive a bumper sticker and with a gold you will receive a bumper sticker and a t-shirt.

In addition, a copy of the certificate and the animal's picture will be displayed at the adoption center.

A sponsorship lasts until either the animals is adopted or the sponsor actively terminates the sponsorship. A sponsorship may be terminated at any time. If the animal is adopted, the sponsor may transfer the sponsorship to another animal of his.her choice.

Payment may be made in the manner most convenient for the sponsor:

  • Mail in a check every month (or can group several months on a single check)

  • Bring a check or cash to the adoption center

  • Make payments online through PayPal (can be set up to make recurring payments)
